STEP BY STEP TUTORIAL FOR HOW TO CROCHET THE BLOOMING FLOWER
STEP ONE
This swatch shows several rows of double crochet in white. Then the crocheter has started a row of single crochet in dark pink. This will be the row for the blooming flower stitch. The crocheter has worked a chain 1 and 9 single crochet stitches. The crocheter is now prerparing to start a flower stitch and will work the stitch around the post of the 10th double crochet in the row below. STEP TWO
Yarn over to start the double crochet and insert the hook to go around the post of the indicated stitch in the row below.
STEP THREE
Complete the double crochet around the post of the indicated stitch below.
STEP FOUR
Then complete the picot stitch.
STEP FIVE
Complete the double crochet and picot stitch four more times.
STEP SIX
Rotate 180 degrees. The tapestry needle is indicating how the crochet hook will be inserted around the post of the 9th double crochet in the row below.
STEP SEVEN
Yarn over and insert the hook to make the next double crochet stitch around the post of the 9th double crochet stitch in the row below.
STEP EIGHT
Finish the double crochet stitch.

Finish the picot stitch.

Finish the double crochet and picot stitch four more times.
STEP ELEVEN
Rotate 180 degrees again. Pull the edge of the flower back to find where to make the single crochet stitch to complete the flower. Prepare to make a single crochet in the stitch indicated with the tapestry needle.
STEP TWELVE
Insert the hook to make the single crochet stitch.
STEP THIRTEEN
Finish the single crochet stitch.
STEP FOURTEEN
Complete the flower and continue the row.
