The Caramel Fudge Ripple Wrap is a simple and easy crochet pattern. The stylish wrap looks gorgeous in both self-striping and solid yarns. The rectangular construction slants slightly on the bias due to the natural tilt of the crochet silt stitch. The wrap is generous in size and can be worn over one shoulder. Or, wear it draped over both shoulders. This pattern also works as an easy crochet prayer shawl pattern.

The wrap works for several seasons. The midweight fabric is great for Fall, Winter, and the beginning of Spring. Choose your favorite colors. Or, pick a more neutral colorway like the browns in the sample for an accessory that can go with many different looks.
Inspiration for the Simple and Easy Crochet Wrap
I had been playing around with the silt stitch with the idea of using it in a blanket when I noticed that it creates a fabric that tilts naturally on the bias. Perfect for a wrap and such a simple and easy stitch to remember!
Fall was coming up so I wanted a generously sized wrap that would look good in fall colors. I had seen some of the variations on the Lion Brand ice cream yarns in the stores. When I researched it further, I found the gorgeous cotton blend in the ice cream yarns. This seemed perfect for the wrap, especially in the chocolate colorway.
The two row repeat in the pattern is easy to remember. Once you have the stitches down, this is a great project for when you want to relax, listen to music, or watch a show.
The wrap is appropriate for a somewhat adventurous beginner to a more advanced crocheter. The silt stitch is easy to master as it combines both the single crochet and double crochet stitches. It also naturally creates a natural bias in the fabric. With no extra increasing or decreasing, the shawl will naturally have a sophisticated diagonal look.
About the Yarn for the Simple and Easy Crochet Wrap
The Lion Brand Ice Cream Cotton Blend is a gorgeous blend of cotton and acrylic with long color repeats. The cotton gives it a nice softness. The yarn is machine wash and dry too making this a great choice for a wrap to be worn many times.
The yarn comes in multiple colorways. I wanted something with a fall look for the sample so I picked the Chocolate colorway with its creamy and brown tones. It reminded me so much of caramel and fudge swirled together! So, I had to name the pattern the Caramel Fudge Ripple Wrap.
