Looking for a crochet blanket with color combos for a baby boy or for someone who loves blue? The Shades of Blue baby blanket uses four large color bands to highlight four blues. The wide bands in the sample blanket use four different colorways from Lion Brand Jeans yarn. Make the blues pop by using orange or another high contrast color for the narrow bands and borders.

This premium pattern features two different stitch combinations for the large and narrow bands. The simple border of herringbone stitches then finishes it off and pulls it all together. The pattern contains two detailed photo tutorials covering both the color changes in the base row of the edging as well as the herringbone stitch.
About the Yarn
If you don’t want to worry about choosing colors, Lion Brand offers a color palette of Jeans Yarn called Denim Forever that was used in the sample. I love it when I can find a great color combo that is already put together. It’s one of my favorite quick and easy ways to pick blanket colors.
